Quick answer:Confirm whether sockets are inside your tent and when power is available. Keep chargers accessible, carry a charged power bank and download essential travel documents before arriving. Camp Wi-Fi and tent electricity are different questions.

This guide focuses on preparing devices for a camp night. For coverage around the village and dunes, use our separate Wi-Fi and mobile-signal guide.

Ask about the actual sockets in your tent

Electricity at a camp does not necessarily describe the outlets in your assigned tent. Ask whether there are sockets by the beds, whether charging depends on particular hours and whether you need your own travel adapter. Mention if you have several camera batteries or more than one device to charge.

Charge before the desert transfer

Arrive with your phone and power bank charged. Keep the cable, adapter and spare camera batteries in an accessible bag rather than packed at the bottom of luggage. A power bank is useful during excursions as well as in the tent; check its charge before leaving for sunset.

Prepare an offline arrival folder

Save the meeting instructions, booking confirmation, driver's number, next hotel details and onward travel tickets on your device. Download any maps you need before leaving reliable internet. Screenshots or locally saved files should be available without opening an email or loading a website.

Treat Wi-Fi as a separate service

Ask where Wi-Fi is available and whether it reaches the tent, but avoid making an essential work call depend on it. Having electricity does not guarantee a strong connection. If a dependable call is important, plan it before or after the camp stay and use the village-connectivity guide to discuss alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

Does electricity mean there is Wi-Fi in the tent?

No. Power and internet are separate facilities, and Wi-Fi may be available only in a common area or work inconsistently.

What should I keep in my overnight bag?

Your phone, charging cable, adapter if needed, charged power bank and locally saved arrival and onward travel information.
